KONE plc, press release, October 28 2015

Crown Lifts and Acre Lifts, two KONE subsidiaries specialising in lift maintenance and modernisation for London and the South East of England, have completed a merger to become CrownAcre Lifts Ltd.

Based in Bromley, Kent, CrownAcre Lifts currently has over 4,000 lifts in service and employs approximately 120 people. With Crown Lifts previously specialising in maintenance services and Acre Lifts in modernisation, the company will combine the expertise of the two previous businesses to provide additional services to their existing customers and strengthen CrownAcre Lifts presence in the local independent lift market.

Both Crown Lifts and Acre Lifts had been operating for over 26 years and were already acquired by KONE, a global leader in the lift and escalator industry. KONE’s experience of delivering people flow solutions and overall expertise in the lift industry will assist in developing CrownAcre’s business operations, brand, and new combined services.

Rob Squires, Operations Director said “The merging of CrownAcre Lifts is an exciting opportunity to consolidate two highly skilled and motivated workforces into one entity, bringing fast, reliable and dedicated services to our existing customer base and opening up opportunities to work with a plethora of new clients.”
