KONE Corporation, press release, 9 January 2014
KONE has received an order to supply 32 lifts to B.S.R. Center TLV, a pair of 40-storey office buildings in Tel Aviv, Israel. The two skyscrapers, located in Tel Aviv's new business centre, will rise up to a height of 165 metres.
The order includes 22 KONE MiniSpace(TM) lifts, of which ten will have a top travel speed of 7 m/s. For the low rise section, KONE will deliver nine KONE MonoSpace® 700 lifts and one KONE TranSys(TM) lift to further ease the flow of people and goods in the buildings. All of the lifts are equipped with KONE EcoDisc® hoisting machines which contribute to significant reductions in energy consumption.
The two skyscrapers will have more than 100,000 square metres of Grade A office space above a commercial street level, as well as five underground levels of parking. Designed by BLK Architects, the developer is BSR Group and the main contractor is Ashtrom Construction and Engineering Ltd. Construction is expected to be completed in 2016.
The order was booked in the third quarter of 2013.
